Writer's Block: Stardust memories

When I was maybe 6 years old, and we lived in a very small village in Germany, one still, snowy December night - either Christmas Eve or the night before Nikolaustag - I looked out my window after dark, when I was supposed to be sleeping, and saw St. Nikolaus walking down the middle of the street in the snow. And I BELIEVED. Of course, I had believed before - but there he was! In front of my very eyes. Proof.
I know now it was probably someone's Papa or Opa dressed up to give the kid's a show. But, amazingly, that (adult knowledge and reason) doesn't diminish the sheer magic of that moment.
