day 11: a song that describes you

I thought about this. And thought about it some more. Many deep and profound things going on inside my head, ha ha. Went to the music library and some of the usual suspects - Alanis, KT, Sheryl, Annie - and to some of the "life soundtracks" I've made and nothing really fit, or I was going to end up posting 3 or 4 songs at once or maybe just going with Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy"...and then I stumbled onto this gem on one of my random playlists. And maybe it's a little disingenuous or silly for a white girl to say this song describes her, but the truth is it kind of does...I'm at this place right where I really feel a change - a good change - is gonna come. And maybe it's an illustration of the power of music to express universal and individual truths. Whichever it is, this song is amazing, and Sam Cooke is a legend for very good reason.
