"Oh, it isn't?" Chapel looks down at him, pleased as punch, glowing with triumph and sweat. "Cuz from where I'm at, I've got you right where I want you."
"On my back, huh."
"Something like that." She grins, all sassy and sweet. Damn, he loves that grin.
"Well, you done kicking my ass or you gonna help me up?"
She takes the bait - reaches down to help him up, and he pulls her down, flips them around so she's on her back and he's leaning over her, hands on her forearms, more leaning into her, really. "Right where I want you."
"Not so fast, McCoy." She hooks an ankle, chops at the weaker side of his hold, does something else he's not fast enough to register, and then their positions are reversed.
"Show off."
"Mm-hm. So what's your point."
"Training's paying off. You're getting good."
"Good enough to take you down."
"All you had to do was ask."
"Well, in that case..."
Her hips settle perfectly against his, and they sink into each other. Conquest mutual, only winners here.
In this case, it's a damn good thing he locked the door.
